Currently on seven radio and web stations, podcasting, mobile phone and iTunes. Growth anticipated in 2007. We began as a volunteer effort in November 2005 by attorney/filmmaker Sanford Lewis and journalist Bill Baue. We need the resources of sponsorship to keep growing and enhancing quality of our programming, including paid technical staff for some aspects of programming. Your sponsorship of $1000 for a month can help us reach and expand our podcast subscribership comprised of CSR investors, activists and analysts, and help us to educate the general investing public of radio listeners on SRI/CSR issues. At the same time you can increase your name recognition and leadership on these issues in regions that are progressive and receptive to SRI. NewsTrust is non-profit, non-partisan and encourages both media literacy and civic engagement. Founded in 2005 and based in Mill Valley, California, NewsTrust is funded through grants and private donations and sponsored by The Global Center, a 501(c)(3) educational foundation based in Manhattan. So far, we have invested $500k to start this citizen initiative, launch our beta site and test it with our community. To date, we have received support from a wide range of donors, from the Ayrshire and Tides Foundations, to Craig Newmark (Craigslist), Doug Carlston (Public Radio International) and other private donors. To support the full NewsTrust service on a national scale, we are looking to raise a total of $3 million over a three-year period. We expect funding to come from foundations, private donations and business partnerships. Several major foundations have requested a full proposal from NewsTrust for their respective digital media and journalism initiatives. They have told us that we are on their short list of candidates for these initiatives. Though we are non-profit and initially funded through donations, we plan to run the venture as a sustainable business, and to generate revenue in the online market to support this project. Revenue streams include online advertising, premium memberships and content sales, as well as revenue sharing or service fees from our partners.
